Popular Trade Shows 2019 > Trade Show List By Industry > Technology Trade Shows, Conferences & Convention Expos

Just like the World’s Fair back in 1893, technology conventions highlight the future, show us things we’ve never seen before, and inspire new ideas and innovations. The three technology expos noted below bring together leaders, innovators, and pioneers for our future.

CES highlights the latest in gadgets and tech.

Consumer Electronics Show

Jan. 7-10 - Las Vegas, Nevada

The CES has been introducing the world to new technologies for the last 50 years.

It brings together nearly 200,000 business owners and leaders, technology pioneers, business and tech startups, and innovators for the future, including more than 4,000 technology companies, making it one of the largest and most industry-focused technology conferences in the country.

This show has introduced startups and new technologies to big business. In fact, dozens of products that consumers use every day in their home or business have been introduced to us through it.

What will be happening:

Technology trade shows tend to require a lot of technology, and because we’re already living in the future, expect to see a lot of artificial intelligence and virtual reality exhibits. In fact, there will even be a VR simulation.
There will also be:

  • Sports zone
  • Baby tech zone
  • Artificial intelligence
  • Robotics area and drones
  • 3D printing
  • Smart Homes exhibits
  • Self-driving tech

And so much more.

TC Disrupt

Sept. 5-7 - San Francisco, California

TC Disrupt focuses on startups in the technology realm, highlighting thought leaders and innovators. What makes this conference so unique is that it’s also a competition for those in the early stages of their company and product development.

What will be happening:

As mentioned, there is a startup competition on the Start-Up Battlefield, with a $100,000 prize.

There is also a start-up alley that you can walk through and see the newest tech innovations and businesses. You’ll also be able to engage in workshops and parties created for discovery and networking.

IBM Think

Feb. 12-15 - San Francisco, California

IBM Think is probably the most “celebrity” heavy expos in the tech-sphere. Past speakers include Elon Musk and Chelsea Clinton.

It’s a gathering of some of the top industry leaders and innovators who are paving the future of our industries. It’s largely a collective of the top brass in business, with many of its shows being exclusive or invitation only.

What will be happening:

While there will be a lot of networking and think tanks at IBM Think, there will also be many top-notch speakers who’ve created innovative and leading businesses. You’ll also find demonstrations, immersive exhibits, showcases, an AI campus, a cloud coding sphere, and a cybersecurity campus.
